Milano real/ Red Kite
Su cola ahorquillada, cabeza pálida y su color castaño rojizo (que le diferencia del Milano negro mucho más oscuro) hacen del Milano real un ave inconfundible... Además si le añadimos su grito característico, "grito salvaje de guerra" y su mirada penetrante podemos decir que nos encontramos ante una bella a la par que potente rapaz..

ResponderEliminarEs tan común, al menos por aquí, que no nos llama la atención, pero, para mi gusto es una de las rapaces más bonitas que surcan nuestros cielos, pues es volando, cuando s epuede apreciar mejor su belleza. Verlo volar a escasa altura , dando vueltas sobre mí es toda una gozada.

Lovely images Ana. This is one bird we do have plenty of now in England. If they see you they often fly over and circle around a few times.

I find them fascinating to watch in flight with the 'V; tail acting as a rudder.
A bird that has had a good recovery numbers wise in England but I find them difficult to get to come close.
